How did you guys meet?
We met in London in a bar called the Ned, Dane was on a business trip in LDN, i was out for dinner with a close friend. Saw each other across the room. and love at first sight. we then skipped work and spent the next few days exploring london and getting to know each other.
Why did you want us to capture your wedding day? How do you think you’ll feel watching everything back in years to come?
We like the idea of having a video that could take us back to the magical day instead of only looking through a photo album. A clip that we could show loved ones and future family.
Tell me about the proposal – I love hearing these stories
We had a trip planned to Italy’s Amalfi coast the European summer of 2023, Dane was flying in from South Africa on the Thursday and we were flying out to Italy on the Friday. we wanted to maximize the rare London sun so Dane planned to meet me in Green Park for a picnic and bubbles.
The rest is history, and we got to celebrate our ENGAGEMENT-MOON in Italy. He couldn’t wait until Italy to ask me to marry him.
What do you guys do for a living? How do spend your free time?
Dane is a stockbroker, Lucy is in executive search. Walks, gym, traveling, socializing, wine tasting and exploring cuisines and the best of London and South Africa.
Why did you choose the wedding venue? What was special about it when you saw it for the first time?
The mountainous back drop and vineyards. It was very emotional and happy to see the beauty of Vrede en Lust and to realise this is where we would say I do.
6. Tell me about the vision you have for your wedding. What experience do you wish to give your guests?
It is the first time our two families will all be together, as some are based in SA and others in UK, Canada, US, Australia. We want our guests to feel relaxed and have lots of fun. and to dance the night away.
Where do you see yourselves in 10 years time?
Hopefully blessed to have a family, and never experience winter again. Living between Cape Town and London.
