How did you guys meet?

Why did you want us to capture your wedding day? How do you think you’ll feel watching everything back in years to come?

We really like your style – especially your choice of music in videos, overlaying speeches, and your shots :). We’re hoping that watching the video in years to come will bring back the emotions from the day!

Tell me about the proposal

Lol! Once upon a time, Mike and I were watching “Chef’s Table” episode 1, where they feature Massimo Bottura from Osteria Francescana and we loved the story of the restaurant and the chef so we always said we’d go one day.

A few Years later and by pure luck, Mike managed to get the last table for 2 on the only date available at Osteria Francescana, and decided to plan the proposal around this.

Until we were at the airport, I didn’t know where we were going! We arrived in Bologna and I still didn’t suspect we were going to Modena until we were driving in the rental car 😂 we went for 3 nights and on the second day, we went to a wine farm for balsamic, Parmesan & wine tasting.

The area was so beautiful – loads of rolling hills. After a delicious lunch, we went for a stroll through the vineyards (which were on a hill), and that’s where Mike proposed 😍 (the story of how he got the ring is a story for another day haha).

What do you guys do for a living? How do spend your free time?

Mike – Finance & operations Nicole – UX Deisgner We like spending time outdoors, cooking and trying out new restaurants, being active. Mike likes playing the guitar and I like dancing.

Why did you choose the wedding venue? What was special about it when you saw it for the first time?

We booked it without seeing it loool but relied on our parents and wedding planner’s judgement, and lots of pics and videos.

The venue, the garden and the view were just beautiful! It felt intimate with lots of character.

We love the Manor House and the stairs leading down. We also saw you’d shot some weddings there 🙂

6. Tell me about the vision you have for your wedding. What experience do you wish to give your guests?

We would like everyone to have a good time! For families to mingle, for lots of gees and dancing.

The colour scheme is shades of orange, peach etc which feels vibrant, so we’re hoping for a vibrant celebration!

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years time?

Back in SA 😬 haha enjoying life, with a few kids and doing work that we’re passionate about. Cherishing the small moments and enjoying the journey 🙂
