Dawn Mountains Wedding Video

Daiyaan and Sameenah married on 12 December 2021 at the beautiful Dawn Mountains Estate in the Franschhoek Valley of South Africa. This Indian Muslim wedding was full of culture, colour, and a tradition that held deep meaning for all guests and family in attendance. 

The groom’s parents, Riaz and Naseema Mookrey, were able to juggle the challenging tasks of full time jobs and wedding planning. They managed this with the indispensable help of their friend Mustufa from Rosy’s Event Design and Decor, as well as uncle Nizaam from La Elegante Catering. The day went perfectly, and all 700 guests were spoiled to all kinds of delicious treats, a feast of the most tasty Indian curries, and a confectionary room that resembled that of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Most importantly, they were there to witness the coming together of two families, the Mookrey and the Parker families.

In the wedding video, the events after the reception show Sameenah’s family giving their blessing for her to join Daiyaan and his family. I still remember the feeling of filming this, and the intense emotion, a mixture of sadness and joy, from her parents. 

Finally, we see her arriving at her new home, a gift from Daiyaan’s parents to the newly wedded couple, which was a beautiful and emotional climax to a long and festive wedding.
